3. Volunteering Opportunities


The club has a range of volunteering opportunities available.

Team Coaches / Assistant Coaches
You will plan and deliver weekly football training sessions and manage a team at football matches alongside an existing coach. Training held on Saturday morning. Matches played on Sunday morning. This role enables us to provide opportunities for as many children as possible to enjoy playing football.
Commitment required: Various

Wildcats Coach / Volunteer
You will plan and deliver weekly girls only football training sessions alongside existing coaches. Training held on Saturday morning. This role helps us increase opportunities for girls to play football and develop the female game.
Commitment required: Up to 4 hours per week

Team Managers
You will support our team coaches by helping organise the team’s matches and take on the admin duties as required. This role enables our coaches to spend more of their time planning and delivering coaching sessions.
Commitment required: Up 2 hours per week

Fundraising and Events Organiser

You will help organise events and fundraising activities in the club’s calendar, eg Presentation Day, Tournaments.
Commitment required: Various

Helping Hands Team Member
You will be someone who would like to help out at the club occasionally but with limited commitment, eg assisting in the kitchen or supporting events. More information can be found here.
Commitment required: Minimal

Ground and Clubhouse Maintenance

You will help maintain pitches, undertake clubhouse repair and renovation work (eg decorating) and keeping internal spaces clean and tidy. This helps us create a welcoming environment and keeps our running costs down.
Commitment required: Various

Welfare Officers
You will ensure that the club operates a safe, child friendly environment and promotes good practice in line with the club’s Child Protection Policy. We are looking to increase the number of welfare officers at the club so you’ll be joining a team, not taking on the role by yourself.
Commitment required: Up to 2 hours per week

Match Officials
You will referee or take on linesman duties in a match. Matches held on Sundays.
Commitment required: 1-2 hours per match

Duke of Edinburgh Award
We can provide opportunities to volunteer with us if you’re taking a Duke of Edinburgh award. You might like to work with one of our coaches, help our groundsman, referee matches or take on linesman duties. There’s always something to do!
Commitment required: 1-2 hours pw for 3 or 6 months
