Soccer School is an introduction to football for beginners and involves basic ball skills, lots of running, shooting, dribbling etc. It is targeted towards players in Year 1 (Age 5 at the beginning of the current school year) or Reception (once they turn 5). Training takes place at the Club's home ground - Fox Wood Nature Reserve, Hillcrest Road, Ealing, W5 1HW - on Saturday mornings between 9:30 and 10:30. Children can wear any football kit / tracksuits etc, but boots, shin pads and drinks are mandatory.

Notes for Parents

Parents must not leave their children to go shopping etc, in case there is an accident / emergency etc. Parents must remain at the ground, but can of course make use of the kitchen for food / refreshments. The coach needs parents to help, otherwise training is simply not possible – one coach cannot set everything up and look after all of children on their own. Therefore:

• Please arrive a few minutes early to help carry all the kit from club house, and help set it up in line with the coach’s wishes.
• Volunteers are required to look after small groups of c.10 children (with guidance from the Head Coach).
• Please help collect the kit at the end of the session and help return it to the club house.

Those parents thinking about managing / coaching a team in the future should highlight this to the Coach.
