The AGM reviews the previous Season 2018/19 and provides details of the Club's financial standing. This is a good opportunity for you to meet the Committee Members as well as other fellow Members in the Club, and have your say in the running of the Club or ask questions, so please do attend and represent your team.
We also have Committee Position vacancies which will need to be filled. If you are interested in taking a Committee Position, please do attend the AGM. Please also contact us and register your interest. Committee Members stepping down from their roles will be available to assist the new members in their roles.
Committee Positions to be filled
Vice Chairperson/s
To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Club by effective supervision and to contribute to the development and standard of your sport therein.
Act as the chair’s designate in the chair’s absence.
Undertake special projects as assigned by the Chair.
Undertake all the roles and responsibilities of a committee member
Treasurer/s
Accurately manage all club finances and maintain accurate records of the financial status of the club.
The treasurer is also responsible for advising the committee of any debtors immediately.
To manage and coordinate all financial issues of the club
Agree/sets budgets
Administers club accounts
Welfare Officer
Ensure all persons working with children and young people at the club are fully aware of what is required of them with respect to good practice
Conduct the administrative work associated with processing information on new coaches/ organisers - CRC.
Liaise closely with club youth coaches, ensuring that agreed procedures for the prevention of risk are followed
Be the contact point for all members of the club should they want to discuss any relevant issues.
Training for this position will be provided by Middlesex FA.
Assistant Welfare Officer/s
Assist Welfare Officer as required, step up to position any day Child Welfare Officer is not in attendance.
Training for this position will be provided by Middlesex FA.
Special Circumstances Panel
Considering Special Circumstances requests from Players and deciding what the Club can offer.
The Panel should consist of at least 3 Members, but must be independent from Chairperson and Membership Secretary.
Players' Committee Chairperson
To organise and chair Players' Committee “AEWFC Players' Voice”
Minutes Secretary/s
Take minutes at meetings, write them up and distribute.
Keep records from all meetings.
Groundsman/Maintenance
You will help maintain pitches, undertake clubhouse repair and renovation work (eg decorating) and keeping internal spaces clean and tidy.
Fundraising and Events organiser/s
You will help organise events and fundraising activities in the Club’s calendar, eg Presentation Day, Tournaments.
Kitchen
Serve drinks and snacks on Saturday and/or Sunday.
Times to suit. Can be a rotation of several members.
Line Marking
1-2 hours on a Saturday morning.
Operating a simple machine and simply follow the existing lines.
Team Coaches / Assistant Coaches (ongoing)
You will plan and deliver weekly football training sessions and manage a team at football matches alongside an existing coach. Training held on Saturday morning. Matches played on Sunday morning. This role enables us to provide opportunities for as many children as possible to enjoy playing football.
Currently we are especially looking for Coaches to manage the U7 and U11W teams.
Team Managers (ongoing)
You will support our team coaches by helping organise the team’s matches and take on the admin duties as required. This role enables our coaches to spend more of their time planning and delivering coaching sessions.
Club Secretary (Recruiting ahead of the 2020/21 Season)
You will be responsible for looking after the administrative duties for the Club. You will be a main point of contact for Team Managers/Coaches, Clubs and League.
This is a key role at the Club.
Support and assist all members of the committee
Enter leagues and cups agreed by the committee
Act as club representative to the Harrow Youth League
Assists with recruitment and publicity and to raise the number of members in the club
