Acton Ealing Whistlers Football Club received their FA Charter Standard status on 20th July 2011
We are pleased to announce that AEW Youth Football Club has been awarded FA Charter Standard.The FA Charter Standard’s assesses the ability of clubs to provide a high quality, safe and enjoyable football experience against a standard set of criteria.
“We have demonstrated our commitment to continous improvement through the submission of our three year development plan which will ensure that we provide the best possible service and the game in general”, says Chairperson Margrit Wachnicka. She continues, "we are proud of this award and it is a statement that we are a well run and motivated club with a good base of volunteers moving the club forward".
Club secretary peter Proverbs adds, the members welfare is at the forefront of everything we do through codes of contacts and good practice.
AEW FC was established in 1990 by Dennis Fitzgerald. The club has grown and now caters for close to 200 players with the recent addition of the Football Nursery for children aged four to six years old.
11-a-side Tournament - 9/10 July 2011
Acton Ealing Whistlers held their annual 11 a side tournament at the weekend with competitions for Under 11 to Under 14. The weather was perfect for free flowing football with prestine pitches. First up on the Saturday Morning were the under 11's. Twelve teams battled it out with Whistlers and AFC Wembley reaching the final. In the group games the teams had drawn 0-0. The Final was very entertaining both teams had plenty of chances but a single goal from the Whistlers settled the tie. The other age groups were equally entertaining with a number of knock out matches being decided on penalties. Tournament Results:U11 Winners - Acton Ealing Whistlers, Runners-Up - AFC Wembley

The Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 28 July 2011 at 8pm.

28 May 2011 - New look website launched
The new look website for Acton Ealing Whistlers Football Club was launched on 28 May 2011 in preparation for the new season.
The old site had served us well for many years but was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.
This new site has a crisp and clean look and is edited and administered online. It also contains integrated features that were not previously possible.
